Diamondback Response Sport vs Diamondback Response-1

Diamondback Response Sport vs.. Diamondback Response? Diamondback Response Sport vs.. Diamondback Response?

Hi!

I've been debating on whether to get the Diamondback Response Sport or the Diamondback Response.

The Diamondback Response, which is slighly cheaper than the Sport, seems to be reviewed much better on certain websites.

Just wondering: Is the slightly more expensive Response Sport not as good as the Response? Are the components better on the Response?

Thanks for your help!

Andy

I'm ASSUMING you mean the ones sold through Amazon.com...

Depends on if you want disc brakes or V-Brakes. The Response Sport shows 20mm more travel length on the forks - 120 vs. 100. Other than that, both are so close in specs it isn't worth mentioning. Naturally, the Sport will stop quicker because of the disc brakes - but will also weigh more.

I have the sport. It is fine for city riding. I took it to a real mountain bike trail about 3 months ago and it was not fun. The fork is a piece of ****. You really get beaten up out their. also, i had to change the front axel because it was to cheap and my tire would slowly shift and rub against the fork. My advice, if you want to go mountain biking with it, get a full suspension and a air fork. The responses have spring and only in one side.
