Is Border patrol needed?

I have to do a persuasive essay on why border patrol is not or is needed. Does anyone have any ideas?

Not if you want drugs and weapons to be carried in your country from other countries.
Criminals are not all dumb, so they know how to disguise themselves and the illegal goods they carry.
Think what would happen without border patrol.
A free way into the country for a massive stream of drugs, weapons, prostitution and even slavery.

What about the other aliens the ones that fly through our earthly sky man! they are far more dangerous because they can't even be seen by the naked eye.

Reason's they are needed!!:
1) To stop the illegal immigrant flow
2) To stop the importation of contraband into the country
3) To provide assistance to the HSA
4) To provide assistance to local law enforcement
5) To render aid to an illegal who may have become hurt on the journey,( I know I'll get flack for that one)
6) To help cut down on human trafficing for the sex slave and child pornography rings
7) To provide back up and support for U S Customs
8) They also help out the USDA by being on the lookout for plant/animal products that are contraband in the USA.
