Click on 'View' in the top menu and then 'Internet Options...'
Click on the 'Security' tab
Select the 'Custom' (round button) then click on the 'Settings...' button beside it
Click/make sure 'Disable' is selected under 'Scripting | Active scripting'
Restart the browser
Explorer 3.x

Click on 'View' in the top menu and then 'Options...'
Click on the 'Security' tab
Click/make sure 'Run ActiveX scripts' check box is not ticked
Restart the browser
