Difference between silver plated and gold plated.?I ordered a Belkin HDMI cable that looks like its silver plated but its corrosion resistant, will it perform any different than a gold plated. I read somewhere that someone said gold plated was more responsive, is that true?

Don't worry about the plating, most HDMI cables will work well, the performance is not in the plating but in the inside construction. Be aware that many HDMI cables at the electronics stores are horribly overpriced. Here is one product that you really should shop around for.
Actually, it would never be "silver" plated, but chrome-plated to look "silvery". Silver corrodes terribly in free air.
