What is better, realtor or broker?

I am buying a home soon, and I want to know the difference between realtor, or broker. thanks

Realtor = meaningless. It refers to real estate professionals that belong to a professional organization.

Broker = meaningful. It refers to the individual, properly licensed by the jurisdiction, to buy and sell houses on behalf of the public (i.e., YOU).

Agent = meaningful. It refers to the individual, properly licensed by the jurisdiction, and employed by a Broker, to perform the tasks of the Broker on behalf of the Broker's clients.

In other words, the Agent works for the Broker, who works for You.
