POPUPS! help?

my comp. is old and im getting lotta popups.

how do i get rid of them?!

explain to me step by step how to get rid of them. they're annoying and popsup everytime i go on the enternet + bunch of ads

when you tell me to go to fire w/e that is, tell me what i do.
or
when you leave me the links to places that i can get rid of them, tell me what i click on after i click on the links. Im 16 i need to know specifically how to get rid them please to make it alot easier.

no but i saw that question in one of my sisters magazine.
it was like 50 someithng percent of guys wud choose the blonde.
40 soemthing would go for the brunette.
i just think more should go for the nice one.

1. Disable the Messenger service
Start > Control Panel > Admin Tools > Services
Double click on Messenger and set the start up to Disable

2. Download and install Firefox or Microsoft IE7
www.firefox.org
www.microsoft.com

3. Download Spybot Search and Destroy from
www.safer-networking.org

4. Download Lavasoft Adware from:

Both programs are free, figured a 16 year doesn't have any money to spend on normal applications but these 2 will do you fine.
