I wouldn't say they get broken EASILY they can certainly take a beating, I've snapped an epoxy board in 6-7ft shorebreak it was about two years old but they were hevvvvvvvvy heavy barrels. Depends where your riding, what your riding, and how hard your riding, for example; airs put alot more wear and tear on your board than normal. If you have a longboard and only take it out on clean smooth days that thing will last you ages. But if you have a shortboard that's always your landing pad and always gettin pounded by heavy lips it's not gunna last as long...
