My boyfriend and I want a slideshow of our pictures at our wedding.
Our reception is in a small museum and we don't want a big screen to detract from the exhibits. We were thinking of putting the slideshow running on a continuous loop in the auditorium (an academic lecture hall with AV equipment). That way, people could just take a break from the party whenever they wanted and follow the signs to the slideshow. They could have a seat, watch the pictures and listen to soothing music and then rejoin the party whenever they wanted.
I personally have found that I like taking breaks from weddings -- especially if I don't know a lot of people and/or don't have a date to dance with. Plus, for those that find slideshows hokey or boring, they don't have to go see it.
Does this sound like a good idea? Any problems I'm not foreseeing?
