How do quarter grades work?
This is only one class. Lets say you hard an A+ in the first Quarter a B 2nd Quarter and and F 3rd Q Quarter. In the end of the year, what would your grades be? What would your grades be at the end of the year for that class? B?
Other Answers:
quarter grades would normally work so they're averaged in to semester grades. therefore, you would get a B+ or A- for the first semester. the second semester would be the F you got, plus the grade you get for the last quarter, divided by two.
in your case its a little different, since you have no last quarter, it would be A + B + F / 3. this would be either a B- or a C+, depending on how high or low your grades were.

it's usually an average. So add the grades up and divide by 4. In college each grade is usually given a point value. A=4, B=3, etc.
Beware though, that it's up to your instructor if each quarter counts the same as the others. Sometimes one can be weighted heavier than the others, which makes a simple average equation ineffective.

Usually, schools make semester grades, not year grades. In my school, 40% of the semester grade is 1st quarter, 40% is 2nd quarter, and 20% is the semester exam.
