Why is my ex boyfriend been so mean and will he come back?

he split with my 6wks ago. 3 days (weds)previous to split we had an amazing day together talked n planned our future told me he couldnt wait he loved me n missed me more than words can say. on the fri he said his phone wasnt working i needed to get hold of him urgently he ignored me i sent some texts i shudnt of but i did apologise and explain why. the next dqy he said were over i need a break. i did the usual bombarding him with texts begging etc. he text me n told me tomove on with my life he has is there wont b a me and him he has met someone else and really likes her. im confused and hurt why has he suddenly gone like this he seems to hate me. i cant move on i miss him love him n want him back. please help
