Normal running temp for Holden Vectra

Normal running temp for Holden Vectra?

Sometimes my '02 Vectra temp needle goes above the 90oC (it is early Spring still here).

I am asking because I had some expensive work done on the Vectra this year as Holden said it had been overheated. I don't want to experience the same episode (and costs) again.

How hot is too hot?

I don't recall the Vectra ever getting heated over 100 (red zone) so I don't know how I could have caused this before. Only had this vehicle 2 years so perhaps prior to my owning it. I had been running the car to the mechanics and auto electrician for some time with stalling/stuttering problems previously and they kept saying it was a computer fault (was misdiagnosed).
