Okay so 2 months ago I had all my upper teeth removed and a immediate denture put in. I am only 24 but sadly my teeth were too far gone. I expected it to suck and be hard to get use to but something is definitely wrong. I can barely wear them my mouth hurts so bad it burns and itches. My tounge is all thick white and my gums are white and red. My throat hurts it feels like i have something stuck in it all the time. The roof of my mouth is also killing me its almost like the denture is cutting into me when i feel up there it feels like a big bony lump im really scared i dont know whats going on. My dentist is incompetent (sp) he has been doing do it yourself hard relines on my denture I should probably be getting soft relines but he does hard ones when they should be done at a lab to my knowledge. He gets the acyrlic material all over my denture even some on the teeth. Each time its worse. In my eyes the denture is pretty much ruined and I am going to seek a second opinion from another dentist to make sure I'm not just over reacting but I'm pretty sure I'm not your not supposed to send me home with the material hardened all over where people can clearly see it. Anyway so I have been having so many problems he looks in my mouth and claims there's nothing wrong so I went to the er and they said it looked like a mild case of thrush but they didn't run any test. I'm almost out of the medicine they gave me and there hasn't been any improvements :( I don't know what to do I'm really scared and worried I don't know what's going on. I think the thrush is growing on the denture so maybe I keep reinfecting myself. I don't know how to get it off the denture tho. Ugh I'm so clueless lol. Any help or thoughts would be appreaciated :)
