A Christian who does evil will be with God if he asks forgiveness. An atheist who does good will suffer eternal punishment. That means people who have done nothing but evil their entire lives will be in heaven with God.
Where is the wisdom in God's laws if you can live your whole life doing whatever evil you want and then ask forgiveness just before you die? Wouldn't a wise God condemn a person who does evil all his life regardless of some last second change of heart? Isn't God rewarding that person for living an evil life and punishing people for living good lives?
If the sole requirement to be with God is to believe, then why are we here? God could simply have looked into each persons soul where ever we are before we are conceived and then either sent them to heaven or destroyed their soul. Why put us through all this when he already knows the outcome?
