Fuel efficient cars...?Well it'll be a year or so before I can drive with a permit at least, but I'd like to know if anyone thinks we'll start to have more fuel efficient cars that the average worker can afford. I'd get a used one if I could but I don't want to waste away so much money on gas. Does anyone think by summer of next year or the year after that we'll start to have more cars running on another resources besdes foreign oil? And whatever happened to the solar powered/electric car?

yes, yes, yes. i do think that would surely happen specially now that more than half of the world's oil reserved have been consumed. gone, so in the end we will forced to go green. and i do belive it's a matter of whether the government will support such idea or will kneel down STILL to oil companies. Even if U found a good solution the Democrats would block it. We need to start drilling as soon as we do that the price will come down... They want U to walk so the big cheese can fly . This Global Warming and the Left are trying to prevent as many young people from driving as they can... GW is not happening....
as soon as the battery problem has been resolved it might be possible but until that time not likely -- not to mention it would take you years to pay for such a car-and not realize a difference in a normal car and high gas
