Disciplining a toddler?

I have a one and half year old and he is already starting to get an attitude and throw fits when he wants something he sees. Can anyone recommend a good book for positive disciplining of a toddler. Im completely against spanking and I try not to yell too much. Or anyone just have some tips or advise. Help please!

my goodness my son is like that at times and i do smack his fingers when he goes to grab something dangerous and really wants it i mean he could do more damage touching things, you just have to be firm let him know if your at the shop and he wants something say no if he has a tantrum say right we are going home and you can play in your room by yourself. or does he have a fav toy you could say right im taking snuffy for example maybe try these things i hope this has helped all the best xx

I raised my 2 yr old to not throw fits at any giving time. Simply tell your son that he will get what he wants if he behaves nicely. Reward him with something simple and not too big. And tell him theres plenty more if you continue to behave. My 2yr old is an angel at heart. <3

lightly tickle him by poking your finger into the upper chest muscle just below the arm pit ....

there is no defense for this,and it will keep you from getting angry watvhing your baby giggling and will take the babies mind off of what the behavior is

Don't yell but be stern, like people get a certain look in there eye' s and that tells the person their glaring at to shut up or just stop. Books never help....
