Should I get a different Realtor

Should I get a different Realtor? Should I get a different Realtor?

My fiance and I are looking for a house My Realtor lady is very nice and I do like her as a person but not so much as a realtor. She's very negative a lot of the times on a lot of the houses that we have seen
I know most of them needed a lot of work more then others. Even some of the decent houses that we have seen that needed a little bit of work like cosmetics and things we can change a long the way that are not gonna to cost a fortune. If she doesn't like the house for some reason she will say a lot of negative things or try to convince us not to make an offer.

For a couple of examples of what I mean she will say thing like I didn't like the floor plan of that house or if she pulls up to a house to meet us there if she dosen't like the look of the house she will
say can we go now.

There was this one house that was in the next town over it wasn't in Manchester the city where we live. It was a nice decent house it had a two car garage, 3 bedrooms, 1 full size bathroom and a half bathroom, and it had a big yard, and it was in a nice neighborhood. The house was under our price range. The only thing I didn't like about the house is the ceiling in the basement was a bit low.

While we were in the house, looking around I told my realtor I was looking into moving into this town, and they have two really good schools my daughter could go to,a really good jr. high and a really good high school I know my daughter really wants to go to a school in Manchester, but she can make new friends at the schools around here. My realtor said "Ya but I really want to try to keep your daughter in the Manchester school district". I didn't really say anything to that but I should have. Well my fiance and I were out in the driveway with my realtor and her husband, we told her that we really do like the house and we think we would like to make an offer she said well why don't you guys think about it you don't want to rush into it.

The next day we called her and told her we wanted to make an offer and she told us their had already been an offer that the bank had acepted. I was not really sure that I really believed it. I think mabe she did not wanna sell us that house because she would have not made enough money off it.

My realtor lady is not that realistic ether. She wants us to fall absoulty in love with a house. I don't think that could happen with our budget. What do you think, would you change realtors or not. Ps. sorry this is so long.

Other Answers:

Did you sign any sort of contract with her? In some cases, if you change realtors, and find a house, she might think she is entitled to the commission.

I wouldn't deal with her. Get another realtor. Just tell her since she seems to want to tell you to just *think about it* instead of making offers on places you like, that you have rethought about buying for now, and want to take a hiatus from looking.

As a buyer, I assume you don't sign a contract. I live in the US and we don't sign contracts to represent with buyer's agents. You can go to as many agents as you would like. How is she going to know unless you tell her? She's not there to be your friend, she's there to represent your interests. If you want a barn in the middle of freakin' nowhere, she should help get you the best price possible, period.
