Dvd what does initialise mean?Will I delete my dvd if I finalise it and initialise it?

DVD-Digital Video Disk. It would depend on the program you are using. If it's a manufactured DVD, it won't be erased and most programs will ask before they delete something. Initialize means to start something. Hope this helps!!!
Finalise it means 'seal' it so you can't overwrite it
It is both Digital Versatile Disc and Digital Video Disc. Both are used and correct.
