GM and Chrysler going bankrupt

GM and Chrysler going bankrupt...? GM and Chrysler going bankrupt...?

Now that GM and Chrysler are going bankrupt, what kind of cars do you think we will start seeing on the road? In my opinion we are already seeing a shift from large SUVs, do you think this trend will continue? Will we see the same cars on the road in 5 years? What are your thoughts?

Well, for sure, one thing you're going to see on North American roads is Fiats. Or perhaps they'll be beside the road. That's where you used to see them.

To be honest, the odds are pretty good that they'll both be out of business in 5 years. Cutting the # of dealers to increase dealer profit (at customer expense) is going to make a lot of customers foaming-at-the-mouth angry. That's what got GM in this shape. Ask people who don't buy American cars; they'll tell you that something or other made them angry 5 or 15 or 25 years ago. Look at this post above, where it says "would not now even consider purchase of a new Fiat/Chrysler" and you'll see what I mean. I feel the same way. I'm the kind of guy that would buy a new Chrysler, maybe tomorrow. Guess what - they shut my dealer down. Because the government doesn't want me to have a local dealer. They can kiss my ***.

Have you heard what Fiat paid for Chrysler? You should look into that.

Not likely, big V8 power and hp will decrease. High performance cars will be few if any. The junkers for cash bill just passed in the House, People will get 4500 credit towards the purchase of a new smaller more economical car. Pending Senate approval, but the ball is rolling for all the large SUV/ trucks and gas guzzling cars to be gone! So expect those cars to not be produced anymore. Never would of thought my Yukon would be a classic! like an old 60's caddy!

hopefully they will go out of business. that's what they deserve and should get. stop wasting taxpayer money on failed companies. start using it on innovative companies with a plan and a future.
