how do i memorize minor scales for trombone
is there like a rule or something cause for a
major its tone tone semi tone tone tone semi
thanks i have ameb exams and i dont know my
minors

I just remember TSTTSTT for minor and TTSTTTS for major. If that's how you remember them anyways. Hope this helped.
EDIT: just thought - minor is different going up than down - that is when going down the scale. Going up would be TSTTTTS (same as major but lowered third).



I play the Piano but expect it would be the same.

You go up three notes from the start (Hence C becomes Eb, and D becomes F). Then the minor scale of your first note contains all the sharps (or flats) in that chord and a raised 7th. A is three steps down from C, so it also has no sharps or flats except a raised 7th (G#).

The pattern for the minor would be: route, tone, semi, tone, tone, semi, tone, tone(also octave of route.) That's the natural minor.
