BLANK KEYs what is the difference

BLANK KEYs... what is the difference?

I am going to give my Boyfriend a Blank Key for one of his Christmas gifts to say " YES I'll move in with you".. I found this really nice Denver Broncos Blank Key but it comes in 2 different shapes.. is there an important difference? I've attached a link to the two different keys from Ebay...

Please let me know if there is a difference that will impact if he will be able to use it? They are only 99Cents so if anything I could just get 2 to be sure...

A quick glance will show that 1 is for a Schlage lock set and 1 for a Kwikset, the 2 most common lock makers. look on your lock and then choose appropriately.
Have the key sent to you, have it copied and then gift it, a blank key is useless. and both of those are black coated so they will shine when ground.

a blank key is just that,
it
won,t work on any lock
and the keys are being bid on, so there is no grantee that they will be 99 C + shipping
you have to have a new key made from the right blank, not just any blank,
go to a hardware store and check out there blanks

I would get both if you don’t know what type of lock he has as Dan stated, one is for “Schlage” and the other for a “Kwikset”……..the only problem is the logo ……………
To truly say I love you and will stick with you no matter what …….Nothing says it better than a Chicago Bears logo.

Go to a key maker. Local. Easy. Lots of choices at most DIY stores (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.). Each different type of lockset has a different key blank. Also, some locksets have more than one type of blank. There are many to choose from. Bring the key you want matched and they'll pick the right blank for you (and you can choose from all kinds of custom treatments, colors, logos, etc.). Blanks are seldom more than a couple of bucks.
