Ad.doubleclick.net a virus?

Sometimes when I open up my browser to MSN.ca my homepages, it mentions something at the bottom bar with ad.doubleclick.net, nothing seems to happen though no redirects or pop ups.. I searched around Google about how people saying its a virus and stuff. So what is ad.doubleclick.net
