A number of things can lead to your tattoo to fade; but if you take special care of your bodily artwork then the color might last longer. Sun exposure is a #1 reason for fading as the U-V rays tan your skin they also absorb the color. I have one on my lower stomach and make sure to put chapstick over it when I go tanning or out in the sun. You should go and get it touched up every couple of years or as needed though to maintain the original look you wanted.

the ink fades, like all ink. i dont think u can stop them from fading, u have to go and get them touched up every couple of years.

i have 5 tats and they have all faded a little bit, BUT thats cos i go on sunbeds, the sun can fade them alot, if you dont want this to happen then you either cover up or go get them re coloured every so often! i have both of my wrists done so i get the sun there quite alot and ive had to have them touched up once so far. they havent faded loads but you can notice that they are lighter than what they are.
